Bengaluru: The Congress party has chosen to observe black day on April 17. The black day will be observed condemning the Kathua and Unnao rape episodes.

Addressing to press meet here, the general secretary of All India Mahila Congress Janet D’Souza said that the party workers would light candles on Sunday grieving the victims.

She said that women and children were not any more protected in the BJP ruled states. “The Kathua and Unnao rape occurrences have shown that women and children are certain to suffer under the BJP government,” she charged.
