Main accused in Sharath Madivala murder case surrenders

Bantwal: The main accused in the Sharath Madivala murder case has surrendered to JMFC Court in Bantwal on Friday March 1st.
Kalandar Nissar alias Mohammed Nisar (27), a resident of Panolibail under Sajipamooda village is the accused who was absconding since 19 months post the murder of RSS activist Sharath Madivala which had taken place on July 4, 2017. The accused had earlier attempted to secure a bail in the district sessions Court and failed.
A total of 18 persons have been accused in the case of which 17 have been arrested by the police including Nisar. However, another accused identified as Ibrahim, a resident of Nandavar has escaped to a foreign country, it’s alleged.
