Man throws wife out for giving birth to a girl

Bengaluru: A man working in an organization purportedly abandoned his wife after she gave birth to a girl child.
The lady has given a police complaint as the man, Kumar, is demanding a site and gold ornaments to live with her. She has said that when she was pregnant, her husband’s family started avoiding her and stopped feeding her properly.Unable to bear the harassment, the woman approached woman’s police station of Basavanagudi.
As per the complaint recorded by the 25-year-old victim, a resident of Uttarahalli, she wedded Kumar in April 2016. As dowry, her parents paid them `3 lakh in cash, 150 gm of gold and different gifts. The man and his family purportedly began harassing the lady a couple of months after the marriage. She said she was beaten and manhandled. When she ended up pregnant, the family began undermining her that if she gave birth to a baby girl they would throw her out of the house.
In April 2017, the lady gave birth a baby girl. Kumar and his family demanded that she stay with her parents. In spite of the fact that the lady made attempts to come back to her husband they didn’t let her.
