Mangaluru: A two-year-old tiger cub has died in Pilikula Biological Park after health complications were observed due to injuries.

As per the reports, a few days back the cub was severely injured in a fight.

Later, the biological park medical officers Dr. Vishnudutt, Dr. Madhusudan, and Dr. Yashaswi conducted surgery on the cub and treated it. The cub had recovered from its wounds.

However, on Friday, November 11, the cub faced health complications.

Even though it was treated, it did not respond to the treatment and breathed its last.

Meanwhile, Dr. Vishnudutt has said that in the post-mortem reports it is confirmed that the death was caused by multiple organ failures.

It is learned that samples of the organs have been sent to the Indian Veterinary Research Institute (IVRV), Uttar Pradesh, and Institute of Animal Health & Veterinary Biologicals (IAH&VB), Bengaluru

Director of Pilikula Biological Park, Jayaprakash Bhandary has said that the deceased cub was born in Pilikula and by its death, the tiger count in the biological park has reduced to 11.
