Mangaluru: Seemant Kumar singh appointed as IGP of Western Range

Mangaluru: The state government has appointed Seemant Kumar singh as inspector general of police (western range) with its headquarters in the city.
The government issued these transfer orders on Friday, January 3 and Arun Chakravarthy, who was functioning as inspector general of police was transfered to railway division, Bengaluru in the capacity of additional director general of police.
Seemant Kumar Singh had earlier served Dakshina Kannada district in the capacity of superintendent of police and then as the first police commissioner of the city commissionerate when it was formed for the first time.
