MIA: Foreign currency worth Rs 4.10 lakh seized

Bajpe: Foreign currency notes worth Rs 4.10 lakh was seized by the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel posted at Mangaluru International Airport (MIA) on Tuesday July 30. The passenger in question was attempting to take the notes to Dubai.

The security personnel conducting routine security check at the airport noticed a person identified as Abdul Razack, was carrying Saudi Riyals and UAE Dirham on his way to Dubai. The accused had hidden the currency within the pockets of his inner wear.

The passenger has been handed over to the customs authorities for further investigation while the currency estimated to be worth Rs 4.10 lakh has been seized.
