Hassan: Animal Husbandry and Fisheries Minister A. Manju, who is confronting allegations of signing documents to authorize government land even after moral code of conduct of elections were in force, offered an explanation to the notice served by the District Election Officer.

Arakalagodu Returning Officer (RO) Venkataramana Reddy had served a notice to the minister on April 7. In spite of the fact that the last date to answer was ended, the minister has presented a written answer on Thursday to keep away from the enrollment of uneven FIR.

Hassan Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer Rohini Sindhuri would examine the issue with the Returning Officer. Further, action will be based on his answer, said the sources.

A Manju is confronting the allegation of signing 1,093 documents of Bagair Hukum cultivators of Arakalagudu district to grant their land even after the affirmation of Assembly election dates and violated the model code of conduct. In addition, he specified old dates in the documents, it is said.
