Mother-son duo killed after mosque minaret collapses

Balrampur (UP): A mother-son duo were killed and two others injured here when minaret of a mosque fell on an adjacent house during the thunderstorm which struck the town, police said today.
The incident took place last night when Mehrunissa (28) and her son Munir (3) were sleeping in the their house in Dulhindeh village under the Mahrajganj Terai police station area, they said.
Both the bodies have been sent for post-mortem, a police official said. The two others, who were injured during the incident, were rescued by the locals and rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment, police said.
