MRPL gives Rs 3.4 crore assistance to Pilikula

Mangaluru: MRPL has given a donation of Rs 3.4 crore to Pilikula Biological Park. The funds will be used to take care of the animal in the zoo including their food and medical expenses.

Since the last two years. MRPL has joined in hands with the park in its afforestation initiative. The aim of the park is to protect and develop the flora and fauna found on Western Ghats which are facing destruction.

The zoo is already considered to be one of the largest zoos in the country and 1,200 different species of birds and animals with it. It is worth noting that the expenses of the zoo is being done through donations from the public and entry ticket sales, informed H Jayaprakash Bhandary, Director, Pilikula Biological Park.
