Udupi: Raghupathi Bhat, an independent candidate from the South-West Graduate Vidhan Parishad Constituency, has stated that he has not yet received a notice regarding a violation of party discipline. He said that he would respond promptly once he did.

Addressing the notice issued by the BJP State Disciplinary Committee, Bhat said that he would not withdraw from the contest. This move would expose the errors made by the party and how it had treated an ordinary worker, he explained.

Campaigning and voter engagement have already begun in the constituency, and there is a positive response, he said.

He told Udayavani that he was confident that he would not face expulsion from the party.
