Huballi: In a shocking statement, Pejawar Math seer Vishveshatheertha Swamiji has said that he would not attend the last rites of Shiroor Seer Lakshmivaratheertha Swamiji.
The Shiroor seer passed away on Thursday morning and his demise has brought up a few issues about few foul plays. Reacting to the same Pejawar seer said that he would proceed from Hubballi to somewhere else because of personal commitments and he can’t be in Udupi. In any case, he said that he won’t press for a separate probe into the death.
In the interim, the mortal remains of the seer would be brought to the math for last rituals at the Shiroor Math.
The demise of one of the most controversial seer of the Ashtamath has raised doubt of foul play particularly in light of the fact that recently the seer had put forth a few statements that had left the seer from other math in an uncomfortable state.
He had even pulled six maths of the Ashtamath to the court over the dispute of owning idols of the Shiroor Math, which had turned their relationship threatening.
