Puttur: Congress candidate Ashok Kumar Rai files nomination papers for Assembly elections

Puttur: Congress candidate Ashok Kumar Rai Kodimbadi filed his nomination papers for the Karnataka Assembly Elections on Wednesday.  Thousands of party workers, supporters, and well-wishers joined the procession, which started at Darbe and ended at the Mini Vidhana Soudha.

The procession was accompanied by various art troupes, chende balaga, and Nashik band, which added charm to the parade. Special prayers were offered at the Kodimbadi Sri Mahishamardhini and Puttur Mahalingeshwara Temple before the start of the procession.

During the march, slogans were raised about the achievements of the Congress.

Speaking on the occasion, Rai promised to work for the welfare of all sections of society by providing a corruption-free administration. He promised to work towards creating a fair and just administration if elected.

MLC Manjunath Bhandary, Congress spokesperson Bhavya Narasimhamurthy, Dakshina Kannada district Congress president Harish Kumar, former MLA Shakuntala T Shetty, district in-charge Shibha Ramachandran, district mahila congress president Shalet Pinto, and many others were present at the event.
