Rahul Gandhi receives grand welcome in Ankola

Karwar: Congress President got grand welcome on his arrival in Ankola town amid his first visit to the district for a two-day election campaign through the state.
Joined by senior Congress leaders, Rahul Gandhi looked for votes in favor of party candidate Satish Sail. Around 15000 individuals participated in the road show which started on Karwar road and went through Bendi Bazar, Kittur Chennamma Circle and Jai Hind Circle in Ankola town.
He is scheduled to partake in corner meetings and street shows at Kumta, Honnavar towns later in the day. He will address an open meeting at Bhatkal town in the prior night winding his day’s schedule at Murudeshwar.
The Uttara Kannada police led by Superintendent of Police Vinayak Patil have made expand security courses of action for the Congress president and his escort during his visit to the area.
KPCC President G Parameshwara, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, Congress State In-control K C Venugopal, pioneer B K Hariprasad, priests Mahadevappa, R V Deshpande, KPCC General Secretary Manickam, Secretary Goaplakrishna Naik, Prashanth Deshpande are accompanying Rahul Gandhi.
