The attack took place when Poojary returned home after finishing his campaigning for Rai. The assailants not only thrashed those in Poojary’s car but also proceeded to attack the inhabitants of the house and others. The assailants mercilessly attacked Poojary’s wife and also his employees.

Sanjeeva Poojary along with his employees Iqbal, Shanker and Ammi have suffered injuries. The injured were immediately rushed to the hospital. Ramanatha Rai and other leaders arrived at the scene soon after the incident.
