Safety of students ignored: Compol seeks cancellation of DL, bus permit

Moodbidri: Mangaluru police have booked a case against a city bus driver and its owner for allegedly ignoring safety of its passengers while allowing them to use the rear ladder for travel purposes.
The action was initiated based on a tweet shared by Suraj Jain M drawing attention of the police to the overloading of passengers in the bus and overlooking safety of students who are seen standing on the rear ladder of the bus in a photo shared by him.
In his tweet he questioned who was to be held accountable if anything happened to the students.
Replying to the tweet, Patil has mentioned that a letter has been written to RTO for cancellation of driving license and permit.
