Bengaluru: Recent remarks made by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah branding BJP and Rasthriya Swayamsevak Sangha (RSS) as terrorists had created a massive agitation among many. But in a recent interview Siddaramaiah denies making any such statements when he was asked to apologize,

While speaking to the media persons on Saturday, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah clarified that,’ I have never compared BJP and Rasthriya Swayamsevak Sangh(RSS) as terrorists therefore I don’t have to apologize to anybody”.

Chief Minister spoke to the media who interviewed him at New Delhi after a meeting with All India Congress Committee president, Rahul Gandhi, along with several party leaders from the state about election preparations.

In response to the questions made by the media persons he said,” I had only commented on people who blindly follow Hindutva and cause religious conflicts. Why should I apologize for something that I haven’t said?”

According to Siddarmaiah, BJP leaders like chief minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath, and national president, Amit Shah, keep on harping about Hindutva philosophy in their speeches. BJP only raises issues on Hindutva during elections.

Siddaramaiah explained that he himself is a Hindu but he doesn’t follow inhumane Hindutva. He believes that Hindutva doesn’t depend on whether the person visits temple or not. It is purely humanity as Hindutva always stands for religious tolerance.
