Sindagi bypolls: Counting of votes begins: BJP gets early lead

Vijayapura: Counting of votes for the Sindagi assembly by-election in the district has started. BJP is leading in the postal vote counting phase.
The lections were held on October 30. Counting of votes began at the Sainik School in Vijayapura city from 8 am on Tuesday.
JD(S) candidate Nazia Angadi arrived at the counting centre just after the counting of votes began, while BJP and Congress candidates did not seem interested in coming to the centre at the beginning of the counting.
BJP candidate Ramesh Bhusanur is leading in the counting of postal ballots.
After the first round of counting, the tally stood at Ramesh Bhusanur (BJP) -5255, Ashoka Managuli (Congress)- 2054, Nazia Angadi (JD(S)) -73. BJP candidate was leading by 3,201 votes from his nearest Congress rival.
