Bengaluru: In the backdrop of Karnataka Congress leaders asking Congress President Rahul Gandhi to contest the Lok Sabha elections from the state, Team Modi Speaker Chakravarthy Sulibele on  Tuesday launched a Twitter campaign challenging Rahul Gandhi to contest from Karnataka.

“@INCKarnataka requesting @RahulGandhi to contest from Karnataka. Even we want him to. We would wash the black spot of sending Indira and Sonia to Loksabha. This is our challenge. Let him select his constituency and we will defeat him!,” read Sulibele’s tweet.

Within few hours of the tweet, the hashtag ‘#ಒಂದ್_ಕೈ_ನೋಡ್ತೀವಿ  #WeWillHandleHim’  is the top trending word on the social media platform with other leaders too tweeting using the hashtag.

In yet another tweet Sulibele said: #ಒಂದ್_ಕೈ_ನೋಡ್ತೀವಿ is trending already!! @RahulGandhi please come and contest from Karnataka. We will definitely show you the place!

Following Sulibele’s tweet MP Nalin Kumar Kateel tweeted that Varanasi Lok Sabha seat against PM Modi AAP gives it to congress, Congress gives it to SP, SP gives it to BSP, BSP candidate joins BJP.. Amethi candidate runs to Karnataka.
