Kundapur: The government hospital at Kundapur had a surprise visit from Karnataka Lokayukta Vishwanath Shetty on Saturday, December 8.
He visited and inspected all the division and asked about any requirements with the medical officer. He also interacted with the patients.
He later spoke with the media and said that the number of patients visiting the hospital is proof enough to say that the hospital is giving good service. There are good doctors here and there are also good facilities available here.
A few grievances have come to my notice but I won’t divulge through the media. If I tell, then the people may misinterpret it as the hospital is not good. The mistakes will be brought to the notice of the government and rectified. The public can also inform about any mistakes with clear address and information.
False complaints will be fined
There are many types of complainers. The complainers may complain out of necessity, or just to cause problem to the officials, or to cause trouble, or for money or only for promotion sake. However there are also those who will file complaints out of real concern. True applications will be inspected and the action will be taken. If false complaints are submitted, such people will be fined, warned the Lokayukta.
DC Priyanka Mary Francis, Kundapur primary health centre health official Dr Robert Rebello, taluk health officers Dr Nagabhushana Udupa were present during the Lokayukta’s visit.
