There is no govt in the state: Amarnath Shetty

Mangaluru: “All development works have stopped since the government does not exist in the state. There is a total breakdown,” said HJ(S) leader Amarnath Shetty showing his disappointment on the state government on Tuesday Oct 8th.

“Government is planning to cut down the funds of MLAs and MLCs. JD(S) will be protesting against this at Bengaluru. Government is also taking measures to scrap administrative boards in the temples. Then how can we expect any development of temples? Government has kept election commission under its control and is announcing election date and postponing it as per their convenience,” he alleged.

“When Kumaraswamy was the chief minister, he had introduced loan waiver scheme, which has stopped now, after BJP came to power,” he pointed out.

Speaking on the occasion, district JDS president Mohammed Kunhi said, “Enforcement Directorate (ED) is investigating the leaders of opposition, but BJP should make its own leaders like Shobha Karandlaje and D V Sadananda Gowda to get grilled by ED as they are destroying the opposition.”

“Government has failed in providing compensation to the flood victims. Belthangady MLA is taking credit for the funds, which was released by the then government. Government should release white paper on the compensation and grants for the flood victims,” Kunhi added.
