The victim of the controversial college washroom video case appeared at the Udupi district court on Thursday to provide her statement in the ongoing investigation.
The incident, which occurred on July 18, involved the video-graphing of the victim by three Muslim girl students, sparking a state-level controversy.
In a detailed deposition before the court, the victim recounted the events surrounding the incident. The court carefully recorded her statement, although she expressed her reluctance to file a formal complaint against the accused. Despite her reservations, the police took suo moto action and registered a case in response to the incident.
As the investigation unfolds, all three accused students have managed to obtain anticipatory bail, thus preventing their immediate arrest. The anticipatory bail was sought by the accused to evade detention pending the investigation.
