Vipul Kumar is the newly appointed Commissioner for DK

Mangaluru: IPS officer Vipul Kumar (49) of 1999 batch took charge as the new Mangaluru Police Commissioner on Wednesday.
Kumar hailing from Jehanabad in Bihar has completed B.Tech in Petroleum Engineering from the Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad.
Kumar has replaced T.R. Suresh for this role.
Addressing the media on Wednesday, Kumar said an important task before him was to ensure peaceful conduct of the Assembly election in the region.
