Want to work for the people, says Ratna Prabha after joining BJP

Kalaburagi: Former top bureaucrat and retired IAS officer Ratna Prabha joined Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Wednesday.

Ratna always wanted to work for the people of the country and found that BJP was apt party to fulfil her desires, informed sources.

As per the sources recently, Ratna had admitted that she was impressed with the way PM Modi was striving to develop the country in a unique manner.

Ratna became the second retired Chief Secretary of the state to join the saffron party.

Ratna Prabha was the third woman chief secretary of the state after Teresa Bhattacharya (2000) and Malathi Das (2006). She is an 1981 batch IAS officer and belong to Dalit background.

It may be recalled that few years ago, she had bagged the ‘Woman of the Year’ award from the American Biographical Institute Inc., U.S.
