Police nab youth evading trial

Bajpe: A youth who is an accused in a case registered in Vittal police station was arrested by Bajpe police. The arrested accused has been identified as Zubair (26) from Paivalike village in Manjeshwar taluk in Kasaragod district.

Based on credible information that Zubair was moving towards Bajpe from the airport, Bajpe police arrested the accused near Mangaluru International Airport (MIA) here on Saturday, October 20 and produced him in the court. He has been handed over to Vittal police for further action.

The court had taken up hearing in connection with the case registered against Zubair in Vittal station. As the accused failed to appear in the court even after service of summons, the court had issued warrant for his arrest. The next date of hearing in the case is February 13, 2019.
