Mangaluru: Member of Parliament and BJP state president Nalin Kumar Kateel on Tuesday termed that BJP’s defeat in Hangal Assembly constituency as a “minor setback” and vowed to “take it as a challenge” for the next elections.
“BJP has won a fantastic victory in Sindagi. This is the result of a concerted effort by all party members. We suffered a minor setback in Hangal. We will take it as a challenge,” he said at a press conference here.
Further, he added that the defeat of the Hangal constituency was not a personal setback for the chief minister. “The lure has worked there (Hangal). We will discuss this later,” he said.
