BJP to use Farmer issues as a weapon to attack government

Bengaluru: BJP has chosen to take after the strategy of utilizing farmer issues as weapon to tame the state government amid the assembly session beginning in first week of July this year. It needs to feature the state government’s failure in issues like waiver of farmer loans and payment of compensation to farmers for crop loss endured by them by on account of heavy rain. 

Towards this end, BJP state president  B S Yeddyurappa, has fanned out six groups to various parts of the state to tour the state, conduct study about the ground reality of farmer’s issues, and submit a report to him by the month’s end. These groups will generally go across the state in each district, get firsthand record of issues faced by the farmers, and give the result of the study to BS Yeddyurappa. BJP will then utilize this data to assault the government based on these issues both inside and outside the legislature. 

One of these groups, which would visit Vijayapura, Belagavi, Bagalkote, Udupi, and Dakshina Kannada district is headed by former minister and leader of BJP state farmer wing president, Laxman Savadi. The second group headed by Shankar Gowda Patil will lead visit to Ballari, Kalaburagi, Bidar, Yadagiri and Raichur regions, the third group of which Ishwarachandra Hosamani is the leader for Dharwad, Haveri, Gadag and Uttara Kannada district, fourth group with Nanjunde Gowda in charge will visit Mysuru, Hassan, Kodagu, Mandya, and in addition Chamarajanagar areas while the fifth group drove by Pavitra Ramaiah will visit Davanagere, Chitradurga, Davanagere, Shivamogga regions. The 6th group under the administration of Shivaprasad would visit Bengaluru, Ramanagara, Chikkaballapur, and Kolar districts.
