K’taka bypolls: BJP should will all 15 seats says DVS

Mangaluru: As the by-polls will be held for 15 Karnataka Legislative Assembly constituencies on December 5, Union Minister DV Sadananda Gowda said that the BJP should will all the 15 seats.

Addressing presspersons here he said, “All the BJP workers should work hard so the party can will all the 15 seats in the coming by-polls so that the Congress party can learn a lesson for playing with the emotions of the voters.”

“Former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah is the reason for the downfall of Congress party. He’s bothered only about his personal gain and not worried about the party’s development,” he added.

These by-polls were necessitated after the resignation and subsequent disqualification of 17 MLAs comprising 14 from Congress and three from the JD(S) by the then speaker K R Ramesh Kumar.

Their disqualification had brought down the coalition government of Congress and the JD(S) and installed the BJP government in Karnataka.

The election dates for Rajarajeshwari Nagar and Maski constituencies were not announced as the matter is pending in court.
