Karnataka govt to quarantine NRIs at hotels in Bengaluru city

Bengaluru: Karnataka government has decided to quarantine NRIs in Bengaluru city after facing heavy backlash from people living in outskirts of Bengaluru
It is said that the residents of Bengaluru Rural, Doddaballapur, Hoskote and Devanahalli have expressed strong opposition for NRIs being quarantined in their vicinity.
Residents claim that there were 5 confirmed cases of Covid-19 at Doddaballapur and Hoskote but now all of them have been recovered and if NRIs are quarantined here then there are chances of spreading of infection.
P N Ravindra, DC, Bengaluru Rural said, “The safety and security of every individual is our priority. Government has identified several hotels in Bengaluru city for NRIs to quarantine for 14 days at their own expenses”
The government has also taken all precautionary measures as NRIs will be having frequents health check ups, thermal scanning and stamping before quarantine.
