Bantwal: 70-year-old dies of COVID-19

Bantwal: The taluk witnesses another COVID-19 death. A 70-year-old resident of B C Road, Kaikamba has died of the virus.
The man was suffering from pneumonia and was admitted to a hospital at Puttur. His samples were sent for COVID-19 test which reported positive due to which he was admitted to Wenlock hospital.
However, he did not respond to the treatment at Wenlock and died.
The funeral of the man was held on Monday at the Kaikamba graveyard.
With this, the total COVID-19 death toll in the district has increased to 47.
