Its ‘Jog falls’ clarify netizens after viral video claims it as Beraghat falls

Shimoga: A video of Jog falls has been shared on social media claiming to be a Beraghat Falls of Jabalpur and it has created quite a stir on Twitter. However, there is no doubt that the view shown in the video is spectacular and may fill you up with serenity.

A video of a waterfall posted by a twitter user claiming it to be Bhedaghat Falls from Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, is circulating on the microblogging site. The video with the caption, “Desi Niagara falls- Beraghat falls- Jabalpur in this monsoon via (WAP)” garnered around 4.8k retweets and 23.9k likes.

The video shows the Jog Falls located Shimoga, in full spate.

It is gathered that the original video was shared back in 2019 on an Instagram profile named muralimohanpm. “I don’t think Jog falls can be any more beautiful than this. The right time of the year to witness India’s second-highest Plunge Waterfall. It is now or next year kinda scene,” says the caption shared along with the video.

After the video was shared on Twitter there were many who pointed out the real location of the falls.

The Twitter user who posted the video too clarified that the vide was of Jog falls.

Jog Falls is a waterfall on the Sharavati river located in the Western Ghats in Siddapur taluk of Uttara Kannada district and its viewpoint is in Sagara taluk, Shimoga district. It is the second-highest plunge waterfall in India.
