Bengaluru-Hassan Train Service Flagged Off on Sunday

Bengaluru: Much awaited Hassan-Bengaluru train service was flagged off on Sunday at Yeshwanthpur railway station in Bengaluru. Union Minister for Railways Suresh Prabhu and other dignitaries including Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda, Union Ministers DV Sadananda Gowda, Ananth Kumar and others flagged off the train service. The new train will reach Hassan from Bengaluru crossing Nelamangala, Kunigal, Yediyuru and Shravanabelagola. The train will reach Hassan crossing 167 kilometer and by spending 2.40 hours against 3.50 hours time spent by buses to reach Hassan from Bengaluru.
