Mangaluru: The city police on Saturday confirmed that crack has appeared in a part of Thokkottu flyover, following which the police cordoned off the spot with barricades so that vehicles do not move over it.

“The barricades have been set up to control vehicular movement at the spot. Officials have visited the spot and the crack is being scrutinized,” informed police.

On Friday afternoon the information that said flyover had developed a crack was being circulated, however, there was no clarity or confirmation on the issue. But on Saturday the police confirmed that crack has actually appeared on the flyover and also informed that safety measure has been taken to avoid any accident.
