I quit Cong because of Priyank Kharge: Dr Umesh Jadhav

Chincholi: Days after former chief minister Siddaramaiah accused Dr Umesh Jadhav of betraying and backstabbing the Congress, the BJP candidate for Gulbarga Lok Sabha constituency held Priyank Kharge responsible for him quitting the party.

Addressing presspersons here after casting his vote for the by-election to Chincholi assembly segment he said that Social Welfare Minister Priyank Kharge was responsible for him quitting from the Congress.

“I was forced by the Congress to groom Priyank Kharge into politics,” he added.

There are a total of 17 candidates in the fray in Chincholi, out of Jadhav’s son Dr Avinash Jadhav is contesting as the BJP candidate.
