Mangaluru: Former BJP member, Srikar Prabhu will be contesting as an independent candidate from Mangaluru South Constituency.
Addressing the media, he said, I was expelled from the BJP party back in 2014 and when I questioned for the reason behind my expulsion I did not receive any response from the party heads. Despite being expelled from the party, I have not spoken anything ill of the party.
“BJP party members were seen fighting with each other in social media to get party ticket. However, both Congress and BJP both have not fielded right candidates,” he added.
“I will contest in the upcoming election. I may not contest from BJP, but my ideology will never change. I have let people know about my future plans which I feel was effective in changing people’s mind. I am sure of receiving good support from people. We have received positive response from people which is a good sign,” he added.
