Kumaraswamy was addressing the media in Mandya during a visit to deceased farmer H J Shivanna’s house. The JD(S) leader gave Rs 1 lakh to the farmer’s family and assured them of his support to the children with regard to pursuing higher education and employment.
“We will wait till May-end and if the governments fail to fulfill our demand, a Padayatra will be held,” he said.
Repeating his commitment towards waiving off loans, he assured those gathered that he would fulfill his promise of waving off farm loans if his party came to power during the next Assembly elections.
