Bengaluru: Karnataka Legislative Assembly session has adjourned for Monday following protests by opposition on Friday over MLC Govindaraju dairy issue. This is the second day of 10 day long scheduled budget session which concluded without any major discussion. The budget session was started on Wednesday with Budget speech by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah for 2017-18 year.
The opposition on Thursday demanded a discussion on MLC Govindaraju diary issue. Subsequently, the demand was rejected by the ruling party stating, the issue is not much significant to discuss in the assembly session. Reacting to the protests by the BJP members, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has said that his budget has received wider support from the public and media. Therefore, the opposition is on its way to destroy the image of the state government by stalling the session.
