Mysuru: In a most recent contort to the BJP’s disaster in Varuna Constituency, it was reported that T Basavaraju would be the face of BJP for the Assembly elections. Basavaraju, who is a staunch devotee of RSS leader Santosh, documented his nominations on April 24.

It might be reviewed that Vijayendra, child of B S Yeddyurappa, who was sure of getting ticket and B form from the BJP party had campaigned in Varuna for 15 days. Indeed, even Yeddyurappa and numerous other senior BJP leaders had campaigned in Varuna Constituency supporting Vijayendra.

After BJP national leaders rejected ticket to Vijayendra to contest from Varuna constituency, his supporters had turned fierce and even pelted stones on BJP office in Mysuru on April 23. In Mysuru, police had turned to lathi-charge to scatter furious mob.
