Sandalwood actress Amulya joins JD(S)

Bengaluru: Sandalwood actress Amulya has stepped into politics by joining the Janata Dal (Secular). Amulya, who as of late married Jagadish, the son of former BBMP corporator Ramachandra, joined the JD(S) in the presence of former Prime Minister and National president of JD(S) H D Deve Gowda in Bengaluru on Tuesday April 17. 

Ramachandra was a BJP corporator. The trio (Ramachandra, Jagadish and Amulya) joined the JD(S). A few Sandalwood stars have joined politics in the current years including Ramya, Rakshita, Bhavana, Tara, Jayamala and others. 

Amulya is close friends with actor Ganesh’s wife Shilpa, who is a dynamic BJP worker and is additionally a MLA ticket candidate. It was at Shilpa’s home that Amulya and Jagadish are said to have initially met. Presently these friends, Amulya and Shilpa, will be in rival parties.
