Bengaluru: Former Karnataka minister and troubleshooter DK Shivakumar is believed to have held a meeting with one of the rebel MLAs at a private hotel recently giving rise to several speculations in the political circle.
As per sources, Shivakumar met former party member and Rajarajeshwari Nagar MLA Munirathana, who was recently disqualified by the then Assembly Speaker Ramesh Kumar and also faced expulsion from the party.
Munirathana divulged details about the rebel MLAs’ stay in Mumbai hotel to Shivakumar, stated sources.
On July 6 Munirathana had submitted resignation from assembly and left to Mumbai to join other disgruntled MLAs who were camping in a private hotel there. The mass resignation had led to the toppling of the coalition government in the state.
