Mysuru University professors suspended for campaigning for Congress

Mysuru: Mysuru University Professors B P Maheshchandra Guru and Aravinda Malagatti have been suspended from the posts for purportedly campaigning for the Congress while being in government organization. According to the order of the State Election Commission, the college suspended them two on Tuesday. 

Maheshchandra was working in the Mass Communication and Journalism department, while Aravinda Malagatti was an professor at Kuvempu Kannada Study Center and present leader of Karnataka Sahitya Academy. 

There were assertions that both had campaigned for the Congress and Siddaramaiah amid ‘Janarajakarana’ program as of late held in the city. The Election Commission had composed a letter to the college to act against the professors.
