Poll officials seize Rs 3 lakh unaccounted cash from BJP leader’s car in Gundlupet

Chamarajanagar: Election Commission officials seized unaccounted cash worth more than Rs 3 lakh from a car in Gudlupet in the district on Friday.

It is said that the car was used by former minister and senior BJP leader M P Renukacharya for the by-election campaign in Gundlupet.

After receiving a tip off, the poll officials intercepted a vehicle arriving from Gundlupet and on checking, found the unaccounted money. Three people were nabbed and the police confirmed that Renukacharya was not in the car.
