Udupi: Sampath Raj has been accused of instigating a violent mob setting Congress MLA Akhanda Srinivasa Murthy’s house on fire. He is absconding and Congress is shielding him. We will support Akhanda Srinivas Murthy, said BJP President, Nalin Kumar Kateel

Speaking to the media in Udupi, Kateel said, “Siddaramaiah and DK Sivakumar must give answers on the issue. Akhanda Srinivasa Murthy has filed a complaint against Sampath Raj. But now Sampath Raj is absconding. But DK Shivakumar has said that he is at his home. DKS must ask Sampath Raj to surrender”

“BJP will support Akanda Srinivas Murthy, but not politically. We will not invite him to BJP,” he added

Speaking regarding the by-polls, he said, “ We have won the election systematically. But, Congress lost due to the personal issues between DKS and Siddaramaiah. The inner politics in Congress party has led to their defeat”
