Yaduveer Gopalraj Urs becomes 27th scion of Mysuru Wadiyar royal family

Mysuru : The adoption ceremony of Yaduveer Gopalraj Urs  took place at Ambavilasa Palace in Mysuru in the presence of Maharani Pramoda Devi, wife of the late Srikantadatta Narasimha Raja Wadiyar and other members of the royal family on Monday, February 23.

As many as 40 priests from 14 temples performed various rituals associated with the adoption ceremony. 

All the rituals were supervised by the Mysuru Palace Dharmadhikari Janardhan Iyengar. 

Yaduveer, who is 22-years-old, will be the 27th scion of Mysuru Wadiyar royal family. He was renamed as Yaduveera Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar.Yaduveer is the son of Bengaluru-based industrialist Swarup Anand Gopal Raj Urs and mother Tripurasundari Devi,daughter of Gayatri Devi. 

Gayatri Devi is the eldest sister of late maharaja Srikantadatta Narasimharaja Wadiyar.

Ministers K J George, Ambareesh among other dignitaries were present at the venue to witness the event.
A procession of the new scion will be held at 6.30 p.m.
