Drug Abuse: Police Book Cases Against 6 Students in Manipal

Manipal: Police have booked cases against as many as 6 students of a prestigious institute of higher education in Manipal including an intern from Malaysia during a crackdown against drug abuse in the city on Wednesday.  The crackdown has begun on September 13 and will continue to stop drug abuse in the Udupi, Manipal area.

A medical examination conducted on the students who caught by the police has proved consumption of ganja. Udupi district Superintendent of Police Sanjeev Patil has confirmed reports on the operation and further details on the crackdown are yet to be known.
